Broncopulmonar. Terapia Intensiva Neonatal. Recém-nascido Prematuro.
ABSTRACT
Prematurity is presented as an alarming scenario for children’s health. Advances in neonatal care have increased the survival of this population and increased morbidities along the development of the preterm newborn among them, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia. To analyze the factors predisposing o prolonged stay from bronchodysplastic prematures in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Documentary and quantitative research, performed from September 2017 to April 2018 in a reference hospital in Fortaleza-CE. Twenty-five records of preterm newborns diagnosed with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia with a prolonged period of hospitalization at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were analyzed. The data were analyzed through the SPSS v.20.0 program. Were analysed 25 charts, 48% were male, 56% were born with less then 28 weeks of gestational age, 92% presented weight inferior to 1500g, 56% were classified as being small for gestational age (PIG), 40% remained more than one hundred days in the intensive care unit and all presented Respiratory Disconfort Syndrome with 72% of hospital discharge. There are several predisposing factors that may lead to prolonged hospitalization of preterm neonates, such as low birth weight, lower gestational age, presence of morbidities, and the most prevalent was the respiratory distress syndrome.
